Taj, Trident and Leopold

All of these have been the target of december 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

For me personally, all three had a special place in my memories. The connection is more so emotional ....

Taj has always been the photographer's face of mumbai.

It is a place where I always wanted to stay (...Of course at corporate expense!) I remember standing outside that great structure one saturday night and saw people coming out of some page 3 party. I wished i was also invited to few such saturday night parties.

Leopold cafe is the place where I have been only once in my life. but i just love the upmarket feel of the place.

And the very fact that Celina Jaitley was on the table next to mine .. barely 2-3 feet away (Those were the days she was on the peak of her career) made it even more memorable

And trident for me always was the place where you can find all those imported and aspirational cars (like beetles and ferraris of the world) which are not generally to be seen, even on the streets of Mumbai

I just hope such places continue to exist around us... and not get marred by these incidents..
